The project has been aimed to meet future emission norms on Indian Drive Cycle. The developed system has been put on HONDA ACTIVE with a BLDC motor in front wheel. The vehicle starts on electric motor to a certain calculated speed and then switches to engine. The motor acts as generator in less economic zone of engine and loads the engine thus pushing the engine in most economic zone. The vehicle also captures energy on braking. The Hybrid System has been tested on only Battery, only Ultra capacitor and on combination of both.
